Welcome to the Tribe. This website is the new home of Michael Buffalo Smith, the long time writer for and founder of the Southern Rock magazine/webzine called GRITZ. After nearly fifteen years of concentrating on Southern Rock writing, Buffalo has decided to "spread his wings" (Buffalo wings?) and write about great music of the past, present and future from all over the world. While he is very proud of all his years covering Southern Rock, and the fact that he earned the title "Ambassador of Southern Rock" in the genre, he is ready to write about bands from all over, music as diverse as his somewhat complicated mind. Music from Buddy Guy to Bob Dylan, from KISS to Kate Bush, from Eric Clapton to David Bowie, Bastard Fairies to Kid Rock.

The site is only beginning, but we have great plans for a world wide Tribe of music fans, connecting fans to the real music they love, carrying them backstage and straight into the minds of the artists and writers. Please help us spread the word about the Tribe. It's all free, all the time and Buffalo will be bringing in some world class writers and other creative minds to insure the maximum high for music lovers from Los Angeles to Atlanta, from New York to Berlin.  It promises to be quite an adventure down the rabbit hole...
